What is Canva?
Canva is a free and intuitive graphic design platform. When you purchase any of my products, you will automatically receive a pdf with a template link. A Canva template link is a special type of link that allows anyone who clicks it to create a copy of the original design in their own Canva account.
How do I access my templates?
– First, log into your Canva account or create a new one, it’s really fast! Then purchase, download and open the PDF that contains the template link.
– Begin editing! Also Canva always auto-saves so you can continue at a later time/date.
– Finally, download as a PDF or JPG and print at home, professionally or send digitally.
What can be edited?
Mostly everything! You can also change and add your own images. There are only some things you can’t do which need a Canva Pro subscription like custom font upload and magic resize but you won’t need these options since all of my designs already come in high resolution and perfect size. Also Canva Free offers thousands of fonts!
Do I need to download fonts or software?
No, everything happens right in your web browser!
Where should I print?
You can go to your local print shop, use online printing services or print it yourself at home (download as a “PDF Print”).
If you print at home, I recommend test printing to check alignment and ensure you’re satisfied with the output. All designs are high-resolution, so if unsure about your printer’s capabilities, consider using a local print or copy shop.
Which paper do you recommend?
I highly recommend eco-friendly paper and ink, since these options offer unique textures and colors, the ability to recycle again after use, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, a significant decrease in energy and water consumption and less waste in landfills.
– Seed paper: Made from 100% recycled paper waste, seed paper can be planted in soil and grows into flowers or herbs.
– Recycled paper: Made from post-consumer waste, recycled paper is a sustainable alternative to bleached recycled paper.
– Eco-friendly wedding invitation paper: Options like botanical paper, cotton paper, and recycled paper are available from brands like Paper Culture, Botanical PaperWorks, Paperlust, Eco Friendly Printer.
– Digital invitations: A convenient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper invitations, digital invitations eliminate the need for printing and mailing.
The printing options are at home, an eco-friendly print-on-demand service or supporting local print shops and requesting environmentally conscious printing practices.
Which ink do you recommend?
I highly recommend eco-friendly ink. Here are some options:
– Soy-based, vegetable-based, and water-based inks: These types of inks are becoming increasingly popular for their lower VOC emissions and reduced environmental impact.
– Certifications: Look for inks that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified Product Standard, which ensure that the ink’s production and sourcing adhere to specific sustainability criteria.
– VOC-free: Some inks are specifically designed to be VOC-free, reducing the negative environmental consequences of printing.
– Vegetable-based inks: These inks are made from plant-based materials and are biodegradable, making them a more sustainable option.
Can you edit and print for me?
Not at the moment unfortunately, but I’m planning to implement it in the future <3
